Garabit viaduct

Close to Saint-Flour, there is the Garabit viaduct, a giant of steel imaginated by Gustave Eiffel to cross La Truyère river for the train between Béziers to Paris. Today, we can see the viaduct from the river with the boat, or even by car along Truyère gorge or easily standing in front of the giant, at the end of the day to have a nice view of lightings.

Gentiane express

From the train station of Riom-ès-Montagnes, take place on the Gentiane express, a touristic train of Haute-Auvergne. This train ride last less than 3h and offers a quiet trip across the plateau of Cézallier.

Znaménié in Marcenat

In Marcenat, on the plateau of Cézallier, if you go through the tiny village La Traverse and find out the orthodox monastery Znaménié. It was built in 1988 in Marcenat of the quietness which seemed perfect for praying and meditation. The religious building is a wonderful place in the Cézallier, it is opened for visits but it is necessary to check by phone hours.
