What to see and do at the Parc Floral de la Source, Orléans
On the edge of the Sologne hills and the plain of Val de Loire, the Parc Floral de la Source is the work of many generations of gardeners in the horticultural tradition of the Loiret region. The park has thousands of trees, many centuries old, criss-crossed with splendid pathways leading to gardens featuring an ever-increasing number of botanical collections. It is famous for its rose garden, ‘grand miroir’ lake and 35 hectares of paradise to relax or enjoy a picnic. Traditional and contemporary compositions of flowers, plants, trees and groves give a harmonious symphony in a wonderful lush setting.
The ‘Jardin Remarkable’ is also home to 350 animals, mostly birds from Africa, Oceania and Asia, plus a butterfly house. A crazy golf, play parks, picnic areas, little train and quadricycles complete the range of attractions and facilities…
And let’s not forget the programme of shows, conferences and other events, many for children, which take place throughout the year. The possibilities are endless

The rose garden here is one of the finest in France offering a sensory experience in an exuberant fragrant tangle of award-winning roses with lots of games and facilities for children.
For yet more rose experiences we recommend the Conservatoire Jean Dupont rose garden in the Parc Léon Chenault near the church at the heart of the former plant-growing district of Saint-Marceau.
