The castle has been a listed monument since 1930 and is a fine example of late medieval architecture as it is the only totally preserved 15th century castle in Lorraine. It proudly overlooks the Manderen valley with its high walls, a 3-storey main building, vast central courtyard and four corner towers linked by curtain walls between 12 and 18 metres high.
