METABIEF MONT D’OR
The resort of Métabief Mont d’Or in the Doubs region offers a wide range of activities in summer and winter as well as magnificent panoramic views of the Alps. It is 18km from Pontarlier and not far from the Swiss border (30 minutes from Lausanne).
Métabief in winter
Métabief is a ski area ranging from 900m to 1,430m in altitude with 35 downhill skiing pistes covering 42km. The 3 ski runs of Métabief, Piquemiette and Super-Longevilles are reached via 19 ski lifts as well as 4 play areas for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

- Nordic activity enthusiasts are not forgotten as Métabief has 73km of cross-country skiing trails and several designated routes for snowshoeing. There is a choice of restaurants at the foot of the slopes and higher up offering speciality foods from the Jura Mountains. The resort of Métabief Mont d'Or has all facilities and services essential for a carefree skiing holiday with family or friends : shops, day-care centre, kindergarten, ski schools.

At Métabief and the surrounding area have a go at biathlon, go dog sledding, enjoy the thrills of skijoring (the skier is pulled along by a horse) and tobogganing (donuts can be hired for snowtubing).
To relax after a busy day on the slopes, make a date at AQUA2LACS aquatic complex at Malbuisson (a few minutes from Métabief) which has a leisure pool of 260 m² (massage jets, jacuzzi, bubble jets...) and an area for little children.
Métabief in summer
The cable car at Morond is available for walkers and visitors wishing to admire the magnificent views of the Alps and Mont Blanc.
It can also be used by mountain bikers to reach the top of the slopes.
WALKING
The Montagnes du Jura have footpaths for family walks as well as trails and paths for hikers. All are accessible from the resort.
MOUNTAIN BIKING FOR ALL
Métabief Mont d’Or has 7 downhill tracks suitable for all levels of experience, 6 Enduro Mythique trails for beginners or experienced riders, 4 cross-country trails (56km of marked circuits) and JURA KID PARK (an area for mountain biking beginners), all freely accessible to everyone.
Summer toboggan
Two 600m slopes can be reached via the Berche cablecar. (Children aged under 3 not admitted, children under 1.10m tall must be accompanied by an adult.)
Fishing in Lac du Morond (lake)
Go fishing at a splendid spot in the Massif du Jura : Lac du Morond is a lake at 1,400m altitude. Open May – beginning of December. (Fishing permit 12€ for 1 day, bring your own equipment and bait)
ACCESS only on foot : About a 15 minute walk from the top of Morond. (Accessible via cable car.)
METABIEF AVENTURES ET LOISIRS Adventure Park
A few minutes from the resort, the adventure park has a full range of activities for children and adults from April to October. Treetop adventure trails (4 trails for children, including one for children aged 3 and over, 5 trails for adults and teenagers), summer tubing (110m slope with conveyor belt back to the top), treasure hunts, archery (targets are hidden along a trail in the park), bouncy castles. Restaurant and picnic area.

A stone’s throw from the resort, Lac St Point has beaches for swimming, pedalo and canoe hire.
