Exceptional address! Authentic, fully restored 19th-century Bresse farmhouse set in a vast, ultra-cared-for 2.5 ha property in the spirit of a "micro-farm" with animals - featuring a beautiful heated swimming pool (5x10m) & a vast "no-kill" fishing pond - nestled in the quiet Bresse countryside, 4 km from the "center bourg" of the charming medieval & shopping town of Romenay (many amenities on site) & 18 km from Louhans, capital of the Bresse region, famous for its iconic medieval shopping street with 157 arcades, one of the most remarkable of its kind in France and Europe (also renowned for its "Monday market", one of France's largest retail poultry markets and a "Remarkable Taste Site"). Privileged location on the route of the "Chemin de Cluny" GR, connected to the GR76, numerous signposted footpaths, including several "balades vertes" (a rich network of hiking trails of the same type to be discovered in the area) & the Romanesque church circuit, 18 km from the "Voie Bleue" cycle route (along the Saône), 18 km from the "Voie Bressane" greenway, 18 km from two referenced "coup de cœur" cycling loops (35 kms & 42 kms), 19 km from the renowned GTM (Grand Tour du Massif sud Bourgogne) mountain bike route, some 20 kms from the Mâconnais vineyards & 35 km from the Jura vineyards ("Routes des Vins de Bourgogne" extended by the "Route des Grands Vins" & "Route des Vins du Jura" to explore). In the heart of Bresse Bourguignonne - birthplace of the famous AOC Bresse poultry - a splendid, unspoilt region with a rich variety of landscapes, combining vast plains of hedged farmland with the mountainous foothills of the nearby Jura massif. Prime location at the crossroads of Ain & Jura, at the crossroads of the rich territories of Bresse de l'Ain, Bresse Jurassienne, Chalonnais, Mâconnais & Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire").
- Comfort
- Hospitality
- Value for money
