Gîtes de France continues its actions and confirms its values of solidarity and sharing by creating Gîtes de France Initiatives. This endowment fund allows to support collective environmental projects in the broad sense, such as health improvement, territorial protection, ecology, preservation and conservation of patrimony, civic education, durable development, energy, cultural sector...
This year, we open 2 calls for project on the following themes :
- the first one will have a social or health-related purpose
- the second one will deal with the safeguarding patrimony
Each winner will receive a 50 % financial contribution of the project amount of up to 2 500 €. In addition to the financial endowment, the winners will benefit from a specific communication from Gîtes de France National Federation : Press relations, social networks, newsletter.

The “Social” project is that of the ZimZam association. It offers circus workshops adapted to young people with disabilities in the PACA region. Thanks to this funding, ZimZam will become the owner of a traveling big top to meet the region's young people, even the most geographically isolated. This project aims to promote their social inclusion by using the circus as a therapeutic tool.
The “Heritage” project concerns the commune of Sault, in the Vaucluse region, which has renovated six communal wash-houses and plans to install explanatory panels in 2024. The panels will highlight the history of the lavoirs, their architecture and their social role. A brochure will also be distributed to promote this heritage.
We are very proud to be able to help these 2 associations to complete their project, these are causes to which the entire Gîtes de France® network is very sensitive!
