Gîte de charme à 15 km de Chinon et Saumur, à 1 km de Montsoreau et à 5 km de l'Abbaye de Fontevraud. Dans un panorama d'exception avec La Loire pour paysage, le gîte de la Confluence libère à vos yeux une étendue d'eau à perte de vue, propice à la contemplation et à la détente de l'esprit. Le parc du gîte longe la Loire sur environ 300 m et, de toutes les pièces, vous pourrez admirez le ballet incessant des sternes, mouettes et goélands, et apprécier d'inoubliables levers et couchers de soleil sur le confluent. Vous pourrez aller faire vos courses au marché qui se déroule chaque dimanche matin sur la place du village de Montsoreau (1 km du gîte) et chiner en bord de Loire aux Puces de Montsoreau chaque 2ème dimanche du mois.
Gite tout inclus (hors taxe de séjour). Magnifique, indépendant, attenant à la maison du propriétaire, gîte avec vue superbe sur site d'exception : confluent de la Loire et de la Vienne. R.d.c. plain-pied : séjour-salon-cuisine climatisé (Canal+/Canal Sat/Netflix, tél téléséjour, cheminée suspendue, cave à vins, cafetière pour Nespresso, four). 3 ch. communicantes dont 2 ont en plus un accès extérieur coté jardin : 1e ch bureau (canapé lit Rapido 2 couchages + bureau/bibliothèque), 2e ch (lit 160), 3e ch (2 lits 90, biblio, piano), s. d'eau (+ wc), 2e s. d'eau, wc séparé, lingerie. Lit bébé. Wifi. kit d'accueil shampoing et savon dans salle d'eau. Gîte non spécifiquement adapté pour personne en situation de handicap (visuel, auditif, mental). Chauffage. Jardin privatif clos (p-pong, abri vélos, barbecue à gaz). Parking fermé. Tarifs tout compris (draps, linge, électricité, chauffage, ménage final, bois de cheminée, ). Hébergement non fumeur.

Michael Howard A very special gite
We had a wonderful two weeks. We have stayed in many Gite de France properties. Gite de la Confluence is probably the best.
The gite is very comfortable and very well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The furniture and bedding are of high quality and the gite has a premium feel. The location on the banks of the Loire is simply fantastic. There is a fantastic view from the terrace and the lovely peaceful garden has lots of places to sit out. The very friendly owners live next door and we appreciated their warm welcome and helpful advice.
The location is excellent. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. In the surrounding area there are lots of interesting places to visit including numerous chateaux. We arrived home three days ago. This evening we have booked a return visit for next year.

TCutts Fantastic place to stay
We had a fantastic time staying at this property. The owners were wonderfully welcoming, providing us with a bottle of wine and a home-made gâteau. They gave us great advice about local events, and places to visit and good places to eat.
The property has everything you could possibly need indoors, and outdoors there are multiple options for places to sit, sip a glass of wine and watch the river drift by. There’s plenty of shade under a tree or under a parasol on very hot days.
The owners’ pet cat is very friendly!The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Each of the two principal bedrooms has its own bathroom, so you don’t have to disturb each other in the middle of the night.
The kitchen is well appointed, has plenty of crockery, and is fitted with modern appliances. If you want to cook for yourself, you will be able to prepare pretty much anything in this kitchen.
For families, and for rainy days, the house has a variety of board games, both traditional and more current. There is a good selection of DVDs to watch, and satellite TV. We didn’t need this, since the weather was good, but it was great to see they were there.
The two neighbouring villages have a couple of very good restaurants, and a good boulanger. The small supermarket isn’t much good for anything other than emergency camping-style essentials. For a better supermarket you do need to drive 15 mins or so to either Saumur or Bourgueil.
If you have an electric car, which we do, the owners allow you the use of a dedicated outside outlet, for a very reasonable fixed price per week, but you will need to remember to bring your own “granny charger”, with a suitable French plug, to use it. This is a huge boon, since there aren’t many high speed public chargers in the area.
All in all this is a highly recommended place to stay, and I would come back again without hesitation!

Les quatre semaines passées dans notre Gîte ce sont écoulées beaucoup trop vite, nous serons sincèrement très heureux de vous revoir un jour prochain. Les levers et les couchers de soleil sur la Confluence seront toujours là pour vous accueillir .

Redsaltire Superb in all ways
The location is amazing, the hosts welcoming, helpful and more than friendly and generous. They seem to have thought of everything. My late wife used a wheelchair and we found it difficult to find suitable accommodation, this would have been perfect for her with easy access and roll-inn shower. The layout means passing through bedrooms but there are work-arounds and two full shower rooms nicely located, so this was not a problem for us. The gite is extremely well equipped. The terrace overlooking the confluence is a privilege. It's only a 15 minute walk to most bars, cafes, restaurants and the excellent boulangerie. We definitely hope to return. Loved it. Thanks to the hosts.
