Parte integrante del Castillo de Dio, monumento histórico del siglo XII clasificado y que domina el valle de las ruffes rojas, esta Casas rurales independiente es una antigua torre de defensa del castillo medieval, transformada en palomar en el siglo XVII.
Restaurado con la misma preocupación por la autenticidad que el castillo, este edificio combina el respeto por la arquitectura original, la elección de los materiales, la conservación de los elementos existentes (pequeñas aberturas) y el confort contemporáneo en la distribución interior, dando al conjunto un notable aire histórico.
Planta baja: cocina/comedor. 1a planta: salón. 2a planta: habitación con 2 camas individuales, convertible en 1 cama 180X190cm (en este caso, 2 camas individuales opcionales), cuarto de baño, WC. Calefacción por suelo radiante.
Limpieza de final de estancia, alquiler de sábanas y toallas a petición.

Mary We loved it!
My sister and I were on a walking holiday. The gite is in a perfect location for accessing the Haut Languedoc and Causses areas. The tower has been renovated to a very high standard - very good quality building materials - beautiful oak-wood and stone. We weren't used to the gite system of paying extra for electricity so were wary of using the under-floor heating. I'm sure this would have added to our comfort! We very much liked the atypical nature of the gite, compared with the standard airbnb style places which are the same everywhere. We would love to have been able to read about the history of the chateau and the renovation works and to have seen before and after photos. Thank you so much for our wonderful holiday!

Lorient atmosphere and view
What we liked: The view is great, the atmosphere of a castle tower is very special and the solid oak bed and floors show that the right choises were made to stay in style. The furniture was well chosen. Two terasses, one on top of the tower and one in front of the tower present a nice choice. The bath is also nice. There are also some points for improvement. It's puzzling why a fan is lacking when temperatures rise to 38 to 40 degrees - especially as the bedroom is located on the hot top floor. Internet bandwidth is good, but in a tower a repeater would be convenient to benefit from it on the top floor.

Thank you for your kind review, which shows that you have correctly identified the quality of the Tower. The Tower's meter-thick walls make air conditioning unnecessary in summer. However, your stay took place during the exceptional heatwave of August. We take your recommendation into account. We felt that the Wi-Fi/fiber already available in the living room and kitchen was not essential in the bedroom.

Marcus Richmond The location of the tower was absolutely amazing with fine views day and night over the castle and grounds and neighbouring countryside. We would love to come again. We thank our hosts greatly for such an experience.
