A family outingThe Black Mountain
The Mountain Noire lies at the junction of 4 départements: Aude, Haute Garonne, Hérault and, of course, the Tarn for its steep northern slopes, covered in dark forests of oak, beech, fir and spruce. Part of the Mountain Noire is part of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc, and is also home to the Pic de Nore, the highest point (1211m) in the département, offering panoramic views all the way to the Pyrenees.

One of the most beautiful landscapes in the TarnEntre Vals et Plateaux Tarnais
The Ambialet peninsula is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Tarn. The priory and its calvary are perched on a rocky needle encircled by a 3 km-long meander of the Tarn. They form the most pronounced isthmus in Europe. This Cathar Mecca, founded by the Trencavels and occupied by Simon de Montfort, is the perfect excuse for a day's stroll just a stone's throw fromAlbi.

In the Natura 2000 networkVaour and the Grésigne forest
In 1160, the Knights Templar founded the Commandery of Vaour on land bequeathed to them by the Lords of Penne, Montaigut and the Viscounts of Saint Antonin... names that take us back to the Middle Ages. Every August, the Commandery hosts a festival of burlesque Theater, circus, street shows and concerts, the "Summer of Vaour".
