For over 5 centuries!La Rochère glass and crystal works
To the west of the Southern Vosges, not far from the Canal des Vosges, along the V50 cycle route linking Luxembourg to Lyon, the La Rochère glassworks in Passavant, Haute-Saône, was founded in 1475 by Simon de Thysac, a gentleman glassmaker, with the encouragement of the Dukes of Lorraine. For more than five centuries, it has perpetuated the tradition and know-how of master glassmakers.

A fisherman's paradise in Haute-SaôneThe Ognon and its character towns
The Haute-Saôneis characterized by an extensive network of waterways, particularly suitable for fishing. These include the Ognon, a magnificent 200 km-long river that rises at Château-Lambert on the southern slopes of the Vosges mountains (at an altitude of 904 m). The second half of its course forms the border with the neighbouring departments of Doubs and Jura, and the river ends its course in the Côte-d'Or, flowing into the Saône.

Fishermen love this green setting!The Saône rises at Vioménil (402 m above sea level) in the Faucilles mountains (Vosges département) and flows into the Rhône at Lyon. With a length of 480 km, it flows through the departments of Vosges, then Haute-Saône, Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire and finally Rhône.
