With a beautiful view of the Mountain Sainte Victoire, in the Countryside but only 1km from the village of Peynier, Le Bastidon is an old house renovated and converted into a Holiday cottage in 2022.
Adjoining the owners' house but not overlooked, the gîte has 3 private parking spaces, a 200m² fenced garden planted with trees and lawns and equipped with sun loungers, a terrace with garden furniture, a sheltered Jacuzzi area with opening hours depending on the season, and an outdoor shower. Inside, Le Bastidon comprises: - a living room with exposed stone walls: sofa, armchairs, coffee table, connected flat-screen TV. Bay window overlooking the outside. Separate toilet with washbasin. 4-step access to kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave, 3-burner induction hob, extractor fan, washing machine, fridge, freezer, table with 6 chairs. First floor: - first bedroom for 4 with high ceilings: 2 twin 80x200cm beds, storage cupboard, mezzanine with 2 single 80x200cm beds. Second bedroom with 2 twin beds 80x200cm, Sainte Victoire view, cupboard. Reversible air-conditioning. Private Jacuzzi accessible from May to September, extra charge the rest of the year (closed for energy savings in December, January and February). Sheets and towels included (if change of linen requested, it will be charged: €10/person for towels and €20/bed for sheets and €5 for 2 tea towels). Housework optional. (180 € deposit required on arrival, if cleaning is your responsibility) Pets not allowed. Any additional person not included in the contract will be charged a supplement of €50 per night. Facing the Sainte Victoire, Le Bastidon is also 20km from Aix-en-Provence, 35km from the Sea at Marseille or Cassis, and 20km from the Sainte-Baume Regional Nature Park. Just 5km from the Rousset business park and 4km from the 18-hole golf course.

Une terrasse un peu plus grande et ombragée serait la bienvenue en période de forte chaleur et grand soleil

Nous avions déjà la réputation des Bretons en tête : des personnes chaleureuses, généreuses et accueillantes. Grâce à vous, cette belle image s'est pleinement confirmée. Votre bonne humeur, votre sympathie et votre gentillesse ont été très appréciées, et ce fut un réel plaisir de vous recevoir.
Concernant la terrasse, son exposition à l'ouest lui permet d'être agréablement ombragée une bonne partie de la journée, ce qui est idéal pour prendre le petit-déjeuner ou le déjeuner en toute tranquillité. Lors de votre séjour, les températures exceptionnellement élevées ont toutefois rendu les après-midis et les soirées particulièrement chauds. Malgré le parasol, il était difficile d'atténuer complètement cette chaleur inhabituelle.

rwpryan Fabulous home in a rural location
5 star accommodation in a beautiful gite - it was like a home from home but better! Everything you need is here and all high spec with a washing machine, a dishwasher, induction hob and oven, air conditioning, power showers, a BBQ, etc. - even down to the smallest but essential details like having scissors and a vegetable peeler! It is all immaculately clean. Our 10 year old son adored the outdoor spa. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Gorgeous quiet area, too, with a quintessential French village a 10 min walk away. Spotted lots of wildlife on our walks like owls, rabbits, and foxes. Perfect for families and couples. A stay here is highly recommended.

GEM Lovely gite and garden
A friend and I stayed at Le Bastidon for a week, and enjoyed it immensely. The two level apartment was clean, bright and comfortable. We had a private garden with a hot tub, which my friend used quite a bit and loved. There were both outdoor eating and lounging spaces, from which one could enjoy a view of Mont Sainte Victoire in the distance. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms immaculate. The neighbourhood was quiet and tranquil. Valerie, the owner, was a lovely woman who ensured that we had all we needed, and was extremely helpful when I needed some assistance. We would absolutely stay at this gite again if we are in this part of Provence!

Parfait ! vasque, douche et wc pour chaque chambre.
Bien décoré, ne manque rien, belle vue, espace extérieur privatif avec terrasse sans covisibilité avec les propriétaires ou les voisins, et c'est calme !
Vous pouvez y séjourner en toute confiance !

Merci beaucoup, cela a été très agréable de vous recevoir ce week-end pour le mariage de votre neveu. En espérant que vous reviendrez avec plaisir découvrir la région.
En effet, la maison n'est pas adaptée pour des personnes à mobilité réduite. Le nom bastidon n'a pas été donné au hasard. Les bastides provençales sont des anciennes grandes demeures bourgeoises construites en pierres sur plusieurs étages et lorsqu'elles sont plus petites de sont des bastidons.
