Nestled in the heart of Cathar country, it offers exceptional panoramic views of the Corbières. Nearby, discover Cathar castles such as Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, perched on the ridges. Hiking enthusiasts will love the marked trails through garrigue, vineyards and Forest.
The wine region offers tastings of Corbières and Minervois, powerful, sunny wines. Montgaillard is also a Mecca for Occitan gastronomy: cassoulet, artisanal charcuterie and goat's cheese. The local Markets are bursting with local produce.
A few kilometers away, Limoux invites you to savour its famous Blanquette. The nearby Gorges de Galamus offer an impressive natural spectacle, with their sheer cliffs and hermitage nestling in the rock.
