On the heights of the charming village of Cailhau, between the sloping vineyards and the Malepère hills, this comfortable Holiday cottage invites you to enjoy a relaxing interlude. You'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Pyrenees from the south-facing terrace, and a private Jacuzzi coiled in an intimate patio. An ideal address for a quiet getaway for two, between nature, gastronomy and heritage.
Between Carcassonne and Limoux, Cailhau offers a typical south-west Aude setting, hilly and unspoilt. Signposted footpaths lead you through vineyards and garrigue, on foot or by bike. Nearby, discover villages of character, wineries and local-flavored Markets.
The medieval city of Carcassonne, the castles of the Cathar region, and the Mediterranean Sea (less than an hour away) all open their doors to you for sunny, cultural escapades.
Nearby, there's a greenway 500 m away for cyclists and hikers, and a sports complex 5 km away: Piscine, tennis, soccer, basketball.
Restaurant in the village, shops 3 km away.
The Holiday cottage is accessible at the top of an outside staircase, opening onto a terrace with garden table and Jacuzzi (7 places) under a patio:
_Entrance into a living room with fully-equipped kitchen (vitro hob, Tassimo and classic coffeemakers, dishwasher), sitting area with TV,
_Two bedrooms, each with a 160cm bed, TV and access to a terrace with panoramic views,
Bathroom with shower and washing machine,

Outside: below the Holiday cottage: a covered summer kitchen with fridge-top, tumble-dryer, garden furniture and gas hob. Opening onto a pétanque court.

Nedge Juste parfait!
C'est la 3eme fois que nous y séjournons et cela en dit long. Le gîte est très cosy, très propre comme à son habitude, et Françoise et Tony sont des hôtes très accueillants, sympathiques et consciencieux. Il y a tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin pour les vacances et bien plus encore. Tout est prévu dans les moindres détails et c'est agréable de se sentir considéré.

JoshJoeR Perfect Honeymoon
Our stay was absolutely magical, nestled away as it was in the French countryside. With no light pollution at all, we got to enjoy lying on loungers on the ample balcony gazing at a sky teeming with stars. There is also an interior courtyard with a truly massive hot tub that bubbled away, protected from the elements yet having a clear view of the moon and the starry night. Many a night was spent there sipping champagne and listening to music we played through the interior and exterior sound system. The Kitchen was immaculate and somehow had every tool and utensil we knew and much more. The beds were perfectly spacious and comfy with plenty of space for luggage and hanging up clothes. We hosted some of the friendly neighbours for a BBQ which again was fully decked out with all the gadgets and had an amazing grill that could rival any restaurant while everyone enjoyed some outdoor games the gîte had stocked away. We had bikes to peddle down to a nearby town to pick up our baguettes and tarts from the local boulangerie. When one of the bikes broke down, the owners of the gîte had it replaced within the day which we thought was amazing service. Speaking of service, of all the romantic and stunning amenities the gîte had to offer, perhaps the most touching to us was the owners who had anticipated what seemed like every eventuality. They had a basket of chocolates, macaroons, jams and full bouquet of flowers on the table for us. They thought of everything and made themselves readily available to us making sure our stay was exceptional. They made our honeymoon perfect to be honest. My wife and I will treasure the time we had there for the rest of our lives. Would recommend to anyone.

C'était notre 2ème séjour dans ce gîte où tout est pensé pour notre bien-être.
Les hôtes, Françoise et Tony sont de merveilleuses personnes, attentives au moindre détail pour rendre le séjour inoubliable.
MERCI à vous 2 pour tout.
Le cadre est magnifique, de belles visites à faire et si vous avez un chien, de belles promenades à faire au départ du gîte.

Laure et Bruno Séjour extraordinaire
Ce gîte est un lieu rêvé, l'accueil des propriétaires est formidable, aucune fausse note, tout est excellemment bien pensé, avec goût, rien ne manque. La vue est à couper le souffle. Françoise et Tony vous reçoivent avec une telle gentillesse, ce sont des hôtes extraordinaires. Tout est conformes aux photos, allez y les yeux fermés !
