La Maison de Lucile

Between Aude and Herault, in the heart of the Minervois, in the village of Azille, La maison de Lucile welcomes you and invites you to a change of scenery.

First of all, preserved natural sites: the Cesse and Brian gorges, caves and chasms (Limousis and Cabrespine), the Clape massif and the Corbières. The Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée (45 minutes away) has some wonderful surprises in store for you, with the Etangs de Bages and Peyriac de Sea, or simply the pleasure of a day at the beach in Gruissan or Leucate.
Near the house, you'll find Lake Jouarres, ideal for both hiking and swimming, with its supervised beach. You can also enjoy Hiking along the Canal du Midi or the Cesse gorges. Culture and historical heritage are not to be outdone. Of course, the medieval city of Carcassonne (25 minutes away), the Cathar village of Minerve, Caunes Minervois with its abbey and red marble quarries are not to be missed. The Cistercian abbey of Fontfroide, the hamlet of Le Somail and its bookshop, the Cathar castle of Lastours, Narbonne, its cathedral and its new Narbo via Romanesque museum, whose architect is none other than the famous Norman Foster. Finally, if the summer heat is getting to you, you can cool off by the lakes of the Mountain Noire.
Holiday cottage on ground floor: large living room with fully-equipped kitchen, bicycle storage area, separate toilet with washing machine. Second floor: 2 bedrooms (1 x 160cm bed and 2 x 80cm twin beds), one of which opens onto a small patio with a bench for relaxing. Shower room with WC. Second floor: gaming room with table soccer, TV, games and library. For your comfort, air conditioning is installed upstairs. The local festival takes place on the first weekend in August, which has an impact on the peace and quiet of the house from Friday to Sunday evening inclusive.
