La Maison d'Albert

Between the Montagne Noire and the Pays Cathare, in the heart of Villelongue Abbey, where you can contemplate its 800-year history, you'll stay in the gîte La Maison d'Albert.

During your stay, you'll have free access to the abbey gardens. Heritage lovers will appreciate the abbey's architecture and long history, while meditation enthusiasts will find peace and serenity in the wooded garden, surrounded by the region's flora and fauna. Access to the Holiday cottage is private and independent, and you'll enjoy the privacy of a large private terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue to liven up your meals. A private parking space is available inside the Holiday cottage. It's ideally located, less than half an hour's drive from the department's main attractions: Cité de Carcassonne, Abbaye de St-Papoul, the Cathar castles of Saissac, the book village of Montolieu and the famous Cascade d'Alzeau. There are plenty of hiking trails in the vicinity of the Holiday cottage. The Vernassonne stream, which runs right by the Abbey, is an ideal place to recharge your batteries, as well as for fishing in certain spots. La Maison d'Albert is an authentic, atypical Holiday cottage in keeping with the historic spirit of Villelongue Abbey.


The first floor comprises a living room with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table and a sitting room with sofa and armchairs in front of the TV and fireplace. Upstairs, a bedroom with a 140cm bed and electric radiator. A second bedroom with two 90cm beds that can be joined together, heated by the fireplace insert. Separate shower room. Separate WC. WIFI connection. Baby Equipment on request. All services included except end-of-stay cleaning at an additional cost of €50.
