La Citadelle

Located in the Aude department, in the heart of Languedoc and Cathar country, in the village of Fontiers Cabardès and 20 minutes from Carcassonne, Domaine de Malouziès is the ideal vacation rental near the Cité de Carcassonne, for a taste of the charm and traditions of south-western France.

Nearby, you can discover the many treasures of the Aude region: the Montagne Noire landscapes, lakes and hiking trails, the medieval city of Carcassonne and the UNESCO World Heritage Canal du Midi, the Cathar castles of Lastours and Saissac, the Brousses paper mill or the Passerelle de Mazamet.

With its stone walls, beams, staircase with wrought-iron banister, parquet-like tiled floor, amenities, refined decor and private pool, this gîte combines the charm of old stones with modern materials.

Adjoining three other gîtes, it comprises on the first floor:
_A large living room with fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, Gllum is cool dining area and TV lounge area, with direct access by a few steps to the covered pool area,
One bedroom with 160cm bed and en-suite shower room (walk-in shower, WC, washbasin),
A shower room with walk-in shower, WC and washbasin,
Upstairs, three bedrooms: two with a 160cm bed each, and one with two 90cm bunk beds,
A separate shower room with walk-in shower and washbasin,
Separate WC.

Heating by heat pump with underfloor heating, and wood-burning stove, will ensure warm evenings. All bedrooms, including the children's room, have TV and cable Internet access. A dressing room and safe complete the gîte's facilities.

Outside, the gîte is surrounded by a large private lawn area, equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue.

A second shared outdoor swimming pool is available from mid-June to mid-September, and if you wish, for an extra €30 for 2 people, you can enjoy the relaxation area with SPA, Sauna & Treadmill privatized for 1h30.
