Here, in the heart of the Haute Vallée de l'Aude, you'll find a natural setting for a vacation focused on discovering the environment, gastronomy and rich heritage of the Pays Cathare. The heights of the village reveal majestic mountain panoramas as far as the eye can see.
Close to Quillan and its shops, easily accessible by car, you can enjoy a wide range of white-water activities, including fishing right in front of the Holiday cottage, and a leisure center 5 km away with supervised swimming. The village is the starting point for Hiking, mountain biking and other activities. Many cultural sites are just a few kilometers away, including the Pays Cathare, Puivert and Lapradelle Puylaurens, and the Cité de Carcassonne is a 1-hour drive away.
The Holiday cottage comprises, on the ground floor:
a garage with washing machine, where you can store your bikes or motorcycles.
On the second floor:
_a living room/kitchen equipped with a sofa bed, opening onto the covered terrace, with garden furniture and barbecue, ideal for enjoying beautiful summer evenings, with a breathtaking view of the river.

5/5Our stay in Gîte de la Paichere was fantastic! The accommodation and surroundings were exquisite! Our hosts Marie Jeanne and Michel could not have been more hospitable; we couldn't count their many kindnesses. (And we are reluctant to recount them lest future guests expect similar treatment.) All in all, our stay at Gîte de la Paichere was truly magical.

5/5Le gîte est bien. Placé au pied d'une rivière, c'est un super endroit pour retrouver le calme. Propre est fonctionnel il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans le gîte.
La terrasse pour profiter du matin au soir du doux son de la rivière on adore!
L'hôtesse est vraiment très accueillante et souriante.

5/5Grand gîte bien équipé et très agréable situé directement sur les berges de l'Aude.
Point de départ idéal pour les visites et les randonnées puis finir les pieds dans la rivière ou paisiblement sur la terrasse.
