The beekeepers' chalet: the entrance is on the garden side from where you access a kitchenette and then a living room with wood stove. Upstairs: 1 bedroom (1 double bed), shower room with wc. Electric auxiliary heating. About 20 m away is a very large fully enclosed lawned garden. (2500 m²). It is shared with the 2nd gite (6 people), Peter and Jenny, the cat, the dog and the family chickens. A small terrace is also accessible from the outside. Parking in the property. TV with reception of English and French channels. Le Montheil is a small flowered hamlet which dominates the Monts d'Ambazac and offers an unobstructed view of the wooded and verdant countryside. The house located near that of Jenny and Peter has 2 gites. It is an ideal base for discovering the hiking trails of the Monts d'Ambazac.

Agréable gîte à la campagne
5/5Peter et Jenny nous on très agréablement accueillis et ont tout fait pour que nous soyons bien chez eux. Le gîte est très bien agencé : cuisine et séjour en bas et vaste chambre et salle de bains à l'étage. Un poêle à bois pour avoir bien chaud en hiver. À noter que le gîte est exemplairement propre. Merci pour les oeufs, la confiture ... Au plaisir de revenir à la belle saison.

5/5Perfect in every aspect the owners have thought of everything. The gite is perfectly laid out,cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. If you're a cyclist then there is also a safe and secure unit to store your bicycles. The rental is extremely good value for money and I would recommend without hesitation.

4/5Très bon séjour mais dommage que les propriétaires ne mette pas en avant qu'il y a un congélateur dans la cave pour les locataires.
Horaires de pouvoir accéder au lavé linge pas avant 9h.

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié vos vacances dans notre gîte. Les avantages supplémentaires que nous offrons : draps, linge de toilette, ménage, chaise haute, jouet, etc... sont disponibles sans frais supplémentaires. Le lave-linge que nous mettons à disposition est le nôtre et il est commun aux deux gîtes. Il est dans un garage que nous fermons la nuit par sécurité, c'est pour cette raison qu'il y a des horaires d'accès. Nous mettons à disposition gratuitement également notre congélateur si besoin, et l'indiquons dans le livret d'accueil qui se trouve dans le gîte. 5/5Un gite de rêve dans un cadre idyllique au calme entouré d'arbres centenaires et d'animaux. Jennie et Peter sont des propriétaires charmants et avenants. Produits du terroir fait maison pour nous accueillir. Petit logement cosy qui rappelle le style limousin. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine avec grand plaisir. Nous recommandons vivement.

One of the best kept secerts in France

Location, location , location ... one of the best placed Gites with a view to die for
The owners were amazing with their knowledge and expertise of the area and went above and beyond ... including the fresh eggs as well.
The Gite itself is nothing but near perfection, very well equipped and the layout works so well for such a relaxing and comfortable stay.I would like to personally thank Peter and Jennie as their advice on living and buying in France was invaluable as I now work my way through the legal red tape
