The gîte de la Pomponnaise is a 16th-century house with all the charm of Périgord stone. Located in the heart of Saint-Pompont, 27 km from Sarlat, you'll be ideally situated in the Dordogne Valley to visit a rich cultural heritage: caves (Lascaux, Padirac,...) , castles (Castelnaud, Beynac,...) , bastides (Domme, Monpazier...) or gardens (Marqueyssac, Eyrignac...).
A wide range of outdoor activities will enable you to relax and enjoy the Périgord countryside: cycling, mountain biking, canoeing on the Dordogne...
The gîte is accessed via a stone staircase. It has three levels: on the raised ground floor, you'll find a living/dining room opening onto a fully-equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave. Upstairs, accessible by a staircase, a first bedroom under the roof will be a cosy little nest for two, with 1 bed 140x190, a washbasin, a small bath and 1 WC. The 2nd bedroom, in the basement of the gîte, has 2 80x200 beds that can be converted into 1 160x200 bed. Private shower and washbasin open onto the bedroom. Separate WC. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the corridor leading to the bedroom. A small 3 m² terrace with table and chairs is located at the entrance to the gîte. Public parking lot 50 m away.
Included: end-of-stay cleaning, bed linen, towels, household linen, electricity, heating, baby equipment.

Gîte super fonctionnel.
Un livret d'accueil très précis
Stationnement simple à 20 secondes à pied du gîte, idéalement situé tous les principaux attraits touristiques de la région à moins de 40 minutes de voiture bref super génial avec des hôtes très facilement joignable. Je recommande.- Cleanliness

Gite caracteristique dans le style de la region
Nous avons apprecie l'ambiance des vielles pierres,ainsi que le calme absolu et les choses interessantes a decouvrir.
Le proprietaire, meme n'etant pas sur place,est toujours pret a rendre service en cas de probleme.Assez peu de vaisselle, de casseroles et de serviettes de bains
Impossible pour des gens de mobilite reduite (escaliers raides)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Pomponnaise. Located in the charming village of Saint Pompon, waking up to the meditative sound of bells from the village church and basking in the sun on the outside terrace while our daughter looked for lizards poking their heads out to say hello in the natural stone wall below.
Well situated to explore all the Dordogne has to offer and a comfortable base to return to at the end of an action packed day. Would thoroughly recommend.

Traduction : Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour à La Pomponnaise. Situé dans le charmant village de Saint Pompon, se réveiller au son méditatif des cloches de l'église du village et se prélasser au soleil sur la terrasse extérieure pendant que notre fille cherchait des lézards sortant la tête pour dire bonjour dans le mur de pierre naturelle en contrebas.
