Treat yourself to a rejuvenating break at Le Relais de Lyons, in the heart of a charming Normandy village classified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". Put down your suitcases and set off to explore the narrow, flower-filled streets with their half-timbered houses, stroll through the boutiques and brocantes and shop for local produce, or simply enjoy a delicious meal. In a village house built around the ancient feudal motte, full of character with its brick and half-timbered walls and traditional slate roof, Gilles and Nadine have designed this lovely gîte with attention to detail and your well-being in mind: it's warm and comfortable, truly designed for your vacations, with a lovely, cocooning living room, plenty of board games and, for the kids, a green courtyard perfect for a nap, a meal or a little coffee in the fresh air. The Pays de Lyons will seduce you with the largest forest in Normandy, its valleys and typical villages.
Entrance on the ground floor (after a few steps on the street side) into the kitchen-dining room with well-equipped kitchen area and comfortable dining area near the wood-burning stove. Checkroom, courtyard-side double bedroom with double bed (140x200) and en-suite shower room with shower and vanity unit, towel radiator. Separate toilet. Upstairs: twin bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200) and desk, then a hallway opens onto the elegant living room with oak parquet flooring and exposed half-timbering, luminous with its through-lighting and comfortable with sofa and armchairs; office area. The staircase leads to the lovely attic master suite (open to the living room) with 140x200 double bed and study area; bathroom with corner bath, shower and toilet. The ground floor opens onto a pretty, walled courtyard planted with gravel, which opens onto the street via a porch; basketball hoop, skittles, rackets and darts. Bicycle hire, soccer pitch and city stadium in the village.

Alainminuit Gîte presque parfait
Très bon acceuil. Gîte propre et chaleureux avec tout dont nous avions besoin pour notre séjour pendant les fêtes. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le poêle à bois et les décorations de noël.

Catherine Cosy, well-equipped cottage in charming village
We had a very comfortable few days at this immaculately renovated cottage in the pretty village of Lyons-la-Fôret. Nadine was there to welcome us and couldn't have been more helpful and thoughtful. We were there the Tuesday and Wednesday of the UK October half term, which we hadn't realised was a general shutdown in rural Normandy, even by the standards of low season, but we had a good time anyway, making the most of the house and the picturesque surroundings. My daughter and I had massages at Spa Nuxe at the Licorne Hotel - expensive but a fun experience. We also had a decent enough lunch at the friendly and popular bistro opposite les halles on the Thursday.

The host is dependable, welcoming and available. I can trust him. The nest he has prepared is great only one small remark from my guests that there are two toilets one high up and one down. Needs agile people!

Excellent Accueil par les propriétaires, maison de ville très centrale et néanmoins calme, très bien équipée, cour/jardin ensoleillée, confortable et joliment meublée.

Chantal Belle maison ancienne de village
Très belle maison de village entièrement restaurée et isolée de l'intérieur. Tout confort : rien ne manquait.
De belles randonnées à faire tout autour du village (départ à pied du gîte). Lyons-la-Forêt est un joli village très vivant avec sa halle et ses nombreux petits commerces. On trouve tout sur place.
