For a family nature break just 10 minutes from Falaise and 20 minutes from Caen, stay at the Gîte de la Hunière, a charming 18th-century stone house whose authentic charm and comfort will win you over. You'll be in touch with nature and the rural world: chickens, ducks, geese and donkeys will be your closest neighbors. From the gîte, you can join the Brèche au Diable hiking trail to discover a natural site that's unique in the region: two rocky promontories overlooking the Laizon River, offering superb panoramic views. The nearest beach is Ouistreham, 35 minutes away.
This independent Holiday cottage is located near the property and close to a working farm (mixed farming). The first floor comprises an independent living room with sofa and armchairs (decorative fireplace) and a living room with kitchen and dining area. The first floor comprises 1 bedroom for 2 people (1 bed 160cm), 1 bedroom for 2 people (1 bed 140cm), 1 bedroom for 2 people (2 beds 90cm), 1 shower room and 1 separate WC. The Holiday cottage has an 800m² enclosed garden with terrace (garden furniture, parasol and barbecue). Private fishing pond 5 minutes away: access on request from the owners.

Alison A wonderful relaxing base for a fabulous holiday
This pretty gite is very well-placed to explore Calvados, La Suisse Normande and La Cote Fleurie. The gite is well-equipped, particularly in the kitchen and dining areas (although you should bring bin bags, and toilet paper for the loo). The bed was comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed many barbecues in the evening sunshine listening to birdsong. We paid extra for cleaning which was worth it due to the heat. We loved the local area and would visit again for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nous avons passé un très bon weekend dans votre Charmante maison, la météo n'a pas été très sympa avec nous mais ce qui n'a pas empêché notre séjour d'être très sympathique.

ilemonon Charme et déconnexion dans le Calvados
Séjour agréable dans cette ancienne ferme entièrement rénovée et cosy ! Bien située, non loin du centre de Potigny et de ses commerces, de Falaise (à 10 minutes) et de Caen( à 30 minutes) avec accès aux chemins de randonnée.

MrsH Wonderful gite
The gite was just fantastic for us as a family of 6. The owner and family greeted us on arrival and were so welcoming and friendly. Kitchen was well equipped to cook meals. The garden was great and had everything we needed to relax while the children played. The gite is perfectly situated for walks, close to the boulangerie for fresh bread, croissants and beautiful cakes. Lots of places to visit in the area without a long drive.
