For a family nature break just 10 minutes from Falaise and 20 minutes from Caen, stay at the Gîte de la Hunière, a charming 18th-century stone house whose authentic charm and comfort will win you over. You'll be in touch with nature and the rural world: chickens, ducks, geese and donkeys will be your closest neighbors. From the gîte, you can join the Brèche au Diable hiking trail to discover a natural site that's unique in the region: two rocky promontories overlooking the Laizon River, offering superb panoramic views. The nearest beach is Ouistreham, 35 minutes away.
This independent Holiday cottage is located near the property and close to a working farm (mixed farming). The first floor comprises an independent living room with sofa and armchairs (decorative fireplace) and a living room with kitchen and dining area. The first floor comprises 1 bedroom for 2 people (1 bed 160cm), 1 bedroom for 2 people (1 bed 140cm), 1 bedroom for 2 people (2 beds 90cm), 1 shower room and 1 separate WC. The Holiday cottage has an 800m² enclosed garden with terrace (garden furniture, parasol and barbecue). Private fishing pond 5 minutes away: access on request from the owners.

Les photos et description du site sur les Gîtes de France décrivent exactement l'endroit le la réservation.
Très beau bâtiment, bien situé pour les visites touristiques, les endroits plus calmes, la nature, les plages...Commerces à proximité, tout était parfait.Très belle région. Les propriétaires accueillants, disponibles, très sympathiques, de bons conseils, discrets participent au bien-être de votre séjour.
Nous y retournerons, c'est certain.

empireog Great location and friendly
Many thanks for a lovely stay in our May school half-term holiday. We enjoyed a friendly welcome and found the gite to be perfect for what we did around the Swiss Normandy region over our five days there. The gite was very spacious and ideal for home cooking, which is crucial as there are not many restaurants or bars in Potigny or Falaise to eat at during lunch or dinner. If you do want to get food out, we can recommend Pizza Neuf in Potigny for fast food takeaway and Le Gars de Falaise in Falaise for a meal out. The Boulangerie Ratel in Potigny sells amazing pastries, including a delicious Brioche Normande, so head there first each day and a coffee opposite. The Monday morning market at Saint-Pierre-en-Auge and Thursday morning market at Conde-en-Normandie were great, while Thury-Harcourt has a very good kayak/paddleboard place called Thury Plein Air.

Excellent séjour dans ce gîte, idéalement situé entre nature, commerces, Caen, Falaise les plages du Débarquement. Le calme des lieux et la proximité des sites à visiter sont un vrai plus. Un grand merci au propriétaire pour son accueil chaleureux, sa bienveillance et sa grande gentillesse. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans la moindre hésitation, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !
