Grand Site Occitanie Perpignan Méditerrannée
Economic, cultural and political capital of the Middle Ages, Perpignan experienced its golden age during the time of the Kingdom of Majorca, which saw it mark its mark: the Mediterranean.

A more recent, but equally glorious past has made it the epicenter of artistic encounters (Maillol, Picasso), a certain Salvador Dali even called it the “Center of the World”.
Perpignan: the starting point for a fabulous journey through time.

In its heart of town there are still religious or military buildings, the Castillet, current Casa Pairal museum, the Saint-Jean or Campo Santo cloister-cemetery, the Powder Magazine and the Sea Lodge as well as the former bishopric, witnesses of a past flourishing.
Perpignan-Méditerranée is at the heart of a territory rich in discoveries. The cave of Tautavel, occupied for 700,000 years, and its eponymous prehistoric museum are unmissable.
Testimony to tragic moments of the 20th century, the Memorial in Rivesaltes invites contemplation
