In the historic heart of Agde, in the shade of the alleys, we can feel all the atmosphere of one of the oldest cities in France. The Canal du Midi begins a short distance upstream from the round lock of Agde, at the Pont des Onglous on the Etang de Thau: there, two large stone jetties indicate the start of the journey.
