The aim of this living museum is to preserve, study and pass on the heritage of the Grande Lande region. Mission accomplished !
Landais houses, airials (the area around the houses), shepherds, animals - see how local people lived in the 19th century, thanks to this life-size reconstruction of the community.
Activities like cookery, weaving and resin extracting demonstrations plunge you even further into the day-to-day life of 150 years ago.
