Hop aboard the century-old train to explore the Marquèze Ecomuseum in Sabres, an authentic “airial” of the Grande Lande, which tells the story of the essential connection between human society and its environment, head to Commensacq and the Mexico Base de loisirs for a canoe trip down the Leyre River, an adventure course, mountain biking… or opt for swimming at Arjuzanx, a nature reserve offering a variety of activities.

As soon as you arrive at the place known as “Bacquesserre,” let yourself be captivated by a total immersion in the Landes countryside and by the authentic charm of this traditional resin-tapper’s house, which offers a preserved natural setting perfect for peace and relaxation, surrounded by trees and lulled by the sounds of nature! Completely renovated over the course of four years, the artisans—"artists” were committed to preserving the home’s authenticity, with its original half-timbering, fine materials, and carefully selected furnishings that create a subtle harmony between contemporary comfort, refined elegance, and old-world charm, all of which charmingly reflect the history of the Landes region.
The house offers 95 m² of living space, featuring a ground floor with a mezzanine level, and is perfectly suited to welcoming family and friends in the best possible conditions year-round—whether for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.

For your outdoor comfort, you’ll enjoy the open barn with garden furniture and a barbecue. From there, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Landes Forest.
