Een verblijf van 5 dagen in deze ruime en goed ingerichte gîte, van alle gemakken voorzien. De gîte ligt binnen de oude stadsmuren van Coucy en je kunt genieten van de stilte. Een ruime tuin is ook beschikbaar. Coucy zelf biedt 2 restaurantjes op loopafstand en een plaatselijke Carrefour met ruim aanbod. De directe omgeving leent zich voor leuke wandelingen en Reims en Laon zijn mooie steden om te bezoeken. Kortom...een aanrader!

A lovely relaxing stay in a magnificent hire inside the walls of Coucy Le Château - excellent communication from the hosts too - lovely garden for the dogs too! Highly recommend

Avec une situation vaut d’une histoire du Roi Arthur, une impression renforcée par l’occasion d'une fête médiévale à l’heure de notre arrivée, ce gîte est très confortable et très agréable. Il y a beaucoup d’espace à l'intérieur et un joli jardin. Il est bien fourni d'équipements intérieurs. Pour nous, en qualités de enthousiastes de l’histoire des Guerres Mondiale, la situation était parfaite pour explorer les sites, monuments et musées, lies aux batailles de la Grande Guerre de Marne et de Chemin des Dames et au rendition allemand a Reims de 1945. Les inconvénients sont bien mineurs. Il faut garer la voiture dans la rue mais il y avait toujours une place disponible en face du gîte. Pou faciliter notre arrivée et le déchargement de notre voiture, au milieu du fete, les propriétaires qui nous ont accueillis chaleureusement, ont d'ailleurs eu la gentillesse de stationner leur propre voiture près de gite et après, la déplacer pour la notre, En sommaire, hautement recommandé.

And for my English speaking readers: With a location worthy of the legend of King Arthur, an impression reinforced by a medieval fair taking place, as we arrived, this gite is very pleasant and very comfortable. There’s plenty of space inside and a pretty garden. It’s very well equipped. For us, as World War history enthusiasts, it was perfectly situated for exploring the sites, monuments and museums, linked to the Great War battles of the Marne and the Chemin des Dames and to the German surrender, at Reims, in 1945. Downsides are very minor. You have to street park your car but there was always a place available in front of the gite. To make our arrival and unloading easier, in the middle of the medieval fair, the owners, who made us warmly welcome, also were kind enough to park their own car by the gite and then move it for ours. In all highly recommended.

Un excellent week-end entre amies à refaire

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end reposant entre amies dans ce beau gîte au calme, décoré avec goût. Nous étions comme dans un cocon de douceur, de lumière et de chaleur avec la cheminée pour agrémenter nos soirées printanières. Nous avons pu profiter du beau petit jardin fleuri, verdoyant et bien orienté. Le gîte est très bien équipé notamment en cuisine. les chambres sont confortables. Nous avons apprécié la décoration de la salle à manger avec son mur végétal et son bassin à poissons. N'oublions pas l'espace spa très agréable. Nous avons été enchantées et nous comptons bien revenir.

Superbe séjour

Un gite parfaitement équipé pour 8 adultes (de 21 à 85 ans !)
Accueil chaleureux par Carole qui a répondu à toutes nos questions.
Tout le monde s est senti bien instantanément.
Logement idéalement situé au centre du village historique et au calme.
Un séjour en période estivale nous permettrait de profiter de l'agréable jardin.
En 1 mot : parfait !

lovely house in a beautiful authentic village

We had a wonderful holiday in Coucy with our family of 6 persons and our dog.
The house is located in the village centre on top of the mountain, easy accessible. The rooms and beds are very good. There is plenty of space in the kitchen and living room. The garden is quite large and is walled. At the end of the garden the wall is however a bit lower and a large dog can jump over it thoughtlessly, while the street behind it is 2 meters lower. We did not use the jacuzzi and we did not really miss it; we made two trips to Paris (by train from Anizy Pinon 1.5 hours with a ticket for a "Petite Grouppe": return for 5 people = 115 EUR.) We also visited Laon and Soissons. From the Porte de Chauny, a beautiful long path, fairly flat, runs along the walls of Coucy and then through the forest and along the fields. Good for running too. There were several festivities around Halloween and on Sunday a braderie.
