A charming, flower-filled ALSACIAN HOUSE, renovated in the authentic Alsatian style, located in the Countryside in a quiet, secluded setting. It is situated in an open courtyard adjacent to the owner’s property. Free covered parking. Obernai is 8 km away, Strasbourg is 30 km away, and Colmar is 57 km away. Check-in is available any day of the week. Accommodates 1 to 4 people, with 85 m² of living space. Minimum stay of 2 nights. Pets are allowed at no extra charge. IMPORTANT: Please note that guests are responsible for the full cost of electricity consumption. An electricity meter reading is taken jointly upon arrival and departure, and an invoice will be provided. Ideally located in central Alsace near the Wine Route and at the foot of the Vosges Mountains, close to major tourist attractions such as Rosheim [Romanesque church] (3 km), Fort de Mutzig (7 km), Obernai [designated one of France’s Most Beautiful Detours] (8 km), Grendelbruch [recreational trail around the woods] (11 km), Krautergersheim [Capital of Alsatian Sauerkraut] (12 km), Mont Sainte Odile [monastery] (17 km), Saint Pierre [craft brewery] (20 km), Mittelbergheim [designated one of France’s Most Beautiful Detours] (20 km), the Champ du Feu ski slopes (25 km), Strasbourg (30 km), the Col du Donon [Celtic stone monument] (33 km), Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle (45 km), Europapark (45 km), Riquewihr (50 km), Colmar (57 km), Eguisheim [France’s Favorite Village in 2013] (64 km), Hunspach [named one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages in 2020] (90 km). - Pets are allowed at no extra charge, provided you keep the premises clean. Therefore, please be sure to vacuum before you leave. Please also keep large dogs on a leash at all times in common areas.
- Covered parking for one car is available at the farmhouse across from the holiday cottage. A second vehicle can be parked in the courtyard.
- The four double beds are each at least 1.10 m wide
- A wine selection is available, featuring organic wines from an independent local winemaker, sold at the producer’s price.
- A selection of honey is available, featuring honey from a local beekeeper, sold at the producer’s price.
- There is no bakery or shop in our village!
- Three bakeries and supermarkets—the latter closing at 8:00 p.m.—as well as other shops are located in Rosheim, 2 km away.
- Guests are responsible for all electricity consumption. A joint meter reading is taken upon arrival and departure, and an invoice is provided.
- Heating the holiday cottage in winter: This can be done either with a wood stove or electric convection heaters. Or by combining both. Firewood is provided free of charge. It is dry and comes from our own forest, located no more than 2 km away. The forest is fenced in and maintained with passion and dedication, thereby promoting the growth of new saplings and contributing to carbon balance.
- Air conditioning in the holiday cottage during the summer:
. On the ground floor, using the Canadian well principle, we circulate cool air from the basement—which maintains a temperature of 15°C—into the living room. This helps regulate the temperature on this level.
. Upstairs, in the bedrooms: a portable air conditioner is available in the master bedroom. It helps regulate the temperature throughout the entire upper level.
