Charming, flower-filled ALSACIAN HOUSE renovated in pure Alsatian style, located in the Countryside, in a quiet, independent setting, in an open courtyard adjoining the owner's home. Obernai is 8 km away, Strasbourg 30 km and Colmar 57 km. Arrival any day of the week possible. Suitable for 1 to 4 people, 85 M2 of living space. Minimum stay 2 nights. Pets allowed free of charge. IMPORTANT: please note that guests are responsible for all electricity consumption. A joint electricity bill is issued on arrival and departure. Ideally located in central Alsace near the Route des Vins and at the foot of the Vosges mountains, close to the main tourist sites of Rosheim [Romanesque church] (3km), Fort de Mutzig (7km), Obernai [classified as the most beautiful detour in France] (8km), Grendelbruch [woodland trail] (11km), Krautergersheim [capital of Alsace sauerkraut] (12km), Mont Sainte Odile [monastery] (17km), Saint Pierre [craft brewery] (20km), Mittelbergheim [classified Plus Beau détour de France] (20km), Champ du feu ski slopes (25km), Strasbourg (30km), Col du Donon [Celtic stele] (33km), Château du Haut Koenigsbourg (45km), Europapark (45km), Riquewihr (50 km), Colmar (57 km), Eguisheim [French people's favorite village in 2013] (64km), Hunspach [classified Most beautiful village in France 2020] (90 km). - Pets allowed free of charge, but please note the cleanliness of the premises. Please vacuum before you leave. Please keep large dogs on a leash at all times in communal areas.
- Covered parking for one car is available in the farmhouse opposite the Holiday cottage. Parking for a second vehicle is available in the courtyard.
- The four double beds are at least 1.10 m wide.
- A wine library is at your disposal, with organic vintages from a local independent winemaker, sold at the producer's price.
- A honey library is available, with honey from a local beekeeper sold at the producer's price.
- There's no bakery or shop in our village!
- Three bakeries and supermarkets - the latter closing at 8pm - and other shops can be found in Rosheim, 2 km away.
- Guests are responsible for all electricity consumption. A joint electricity bill is issued on arrival and departure.
- The Holiday cottage can be heated by either a wood-burning stove or electric convector heaters, or a combination of both.
In winter, firewood is provided free of charge. It is dry and comes from our own Forest, no more than 2 km away. The Forest is fenced off and maintained with passion and fervor, thus contributing to future regrowth and carbon balance.
In summer, we pump fresh air from the basement at 15°C into the ground floor of the Holiday cottage to cool it down!
