Cap Blanc-Nez is just after the little village of Escalles. The ‘Grand Site de France’, whose chalk-white cliffs jut out into the sea, is a wonderful place for a romantic walk and the paths through heathland to the top of the cape offer superb views. In the distance lie the Bay of Wissant, Cap Gris-Nez and Wimereux with its beach, the oldest seaside resort on the Côte d’Opale just at the entrance to the Grand Site des Deux Caps.

Recharge your batteries and enjoy the wonderful view of the English coast on an 11km walk along the sandy coastline to the foot of the Boulonnais cliffs. Admire the Phare du Cap Gris-Nez lighthouse which has been lighting up the coastline of Pas-de-Calais since 1957. Remember to wrap up warm, Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez are well-known for being windy places !
