Well-known for its tasty madeleines first created in the kitchens of King Stanislas around 1750, the town of Commercy is a delicious destination ! Today, two firms continue to make traditional ‘Madeleines de Commercy’ : A la Cloche Lorraine and La Boîte à Madeleines.

Explore the Château de Stanislas from the Place du Fer à Cheval and the Grand Salon to the medieval dungeons to relive the extraordinary history of this château. Visit the Grande Carrière (Quarry) at Euville. Exploited since Antiquity, the quarries around Commercy had their heyday at the end of the 19th century when their stone was used to build the Petit Palais, Grand Palais, Opéra House and Sacré Cœur in Paris.
