The Mémorial Charles de Gaulle is a discovery centre situated at the foot of the Cross of Lorraine and follows the story of de Gaulle’s life and his love and loyalty for Haute-Marne and its countryside.
The building was designed by the architects of the Mémorial de Caen and blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape. The exhibition goes far beyond the traditional representation of the man who made the famous call to resist on 18 June 1940 and the President of the 5th Republic. It is an encounter with 20th century history and a look behind the scenes at the man himself.
