Located in NOHANT, less than 5 minutes from Romanesque chapels and medieval castles, but also less than 5 minutes from the amenities offered by the City of La CHATRE, the REPAIRE du MOULIN NEUF has the distinctive features of being the authentic "dwelling" of the heroine of the novel "LA PETITE FADETTE", and of having its doorstep at the foot of the sunken path regularly taken by George SAND & his famous friends in search of rejuvenation by the river. Once in disuse, the 18th-century Berrichonne, refurbished in 2022 in the 21st century style, is set in a luminous green setting bordered by the Moulin Neuf millstream and the INDRE river. -First floor: main entrance leading to the living room with kitchen, dining room and break-out area around the panoramic wood-burning stove.

-On the mezzanine: a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with 2 single beds.

-On the 1st floor: "Reading, HIFI & TV" lounge area (sofa bed, poufs) and shower room (toilet, washbasin, multi-jet shower cubicle, washing machine).

-Garden-side basement: storage & laundry room (sink+dryer, ironing facilities).

The house opens directly onto its outdoor amenity areas: private parking and spacious bucolic garden with "barbecue & picnic table under parasol" area, "relax sunbathing" terrace and shaded "open-air lounge" terrace.

- The river and mill reach, the "corridor" leading to the garden and the garden itself are not fenced. Adults must be vigilant with regard to any children approaching the water, and must ensure that children are not left alone in the garden.
- The building is non-smoking. Smoking is tolerated outside (ashtrays in the garden - to be emptied before departure).
- The organization of "parties" is forbidden.
- The Gite Regulations (sent by e-mail for prior reading) will be signed by the tenant when the keys are handed over.
