Magnificent little corner of the Countryside in the heart of the sublime Brionnais bocage, just a stone's throw from one of Saône-et-Loire's most iconic villages! Elegant, traditional 19th-century farmhouse carefully transformed into a charming guest house - nestled on a vast 3-hectare property, the majority of which is natural, and adorned with an Unusual round swimming pool - perched on a quiet hilltop "watchtower", in a peaceful little rural hamlet, 2 km from the typical shopping village of Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais, emblematic for its famous weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the end of the 15th century (one of the oldest in France, a literal spectacle in itself dedicated to the local Charolais star!) & 15 km from the picturesque market town of Marcigny, a "Site Clunisois" renowned for its Monday morning market founded in 1266 (many amenities on site, including supermarkets). Absolute peace and quiet in the heart of the rolling Countryside, nestled in the bucolic Belaine Valley (protected as a ZNIEFF & Natura 2000 zone for its rich ecosystems), a soothing, unspoilt setting combining agriculture and nature, with lush, wooded bocage meadows, dotted with rivers and ponds, and beautiful, wild forests. Ideally situated on the routes of "natural" footpaths & a signposted "balade verte" (a rich network of similar hiking and mountain-biking trails in the area), the "Cycloroute71" (tour of Saône-et-Loire), a signposted mountain-biking route with "VTT-FFC" accreditation (part of a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the Brionnais region) & the Romanesque church circuit, 15 km from the Voie Verte "Véloire" along the banks of the Loire (Europe's last wild river, protected as a Natura 2000 zone), 24 km from the Voie Verte du Canal du Centre (linked to the EuroVélo6 cycle route and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo"), about 50 km from the first vineyards of the Beaujolais (first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a "UNESCO World Geopark") and the Cotes Roannaises & about 60 km from the Côtes Maconnaises ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne" & "Route des Vins du Beaujolais" to explore). Privileged location at the southern tip of Burgundy, not far from the first wooded foothills of the Monts du Beaujolais (including the legendary 708m-high Mountain de Dun), in the heart of the superb Charolais-Brionnais region, which has been awarded the "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label - a land of livestock farming and traditions, cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed - at the crossroads of the Allier, Loire & Rhône departments, at the crossroads of Sologne & Mountain Bourbonnaise, Pays Roannais, Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais. 10 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 12 km from Anzy-le-Duc (renowned for its sumptuous 11th-century listed Romanesque church), 14 km from La Clayette, 16 km from Charlieu, 23 km from Paray-le-Monial, 23 km from Charolles, 32 km from Digoin (river Marina at the convergence of 3 canals), 39 km from Roanne & 50 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais). An invigorating haven of peace & relaxation for a "green break", with a refreshing dip in the Piscine as a bonus! For families and lovers alike!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Having traveled the world and lived in Africa & Asia (source of inspiration for the decor of the premises), Martine opens the doors to an elegant, carefully restored traditional 19th-century farmhouse, bursting with charm & character, nestled in a "panoramic belvedere" on a south-facing hill, overlooking a bucolic valley of wooded meadows. Total tranquility in a peaceful "dispersed" hamlet, nestled in unspoilt Countryside on the edge of pastures (with Charolais cows as neighbors), in the heart of the sublime Brionnais bocage, in a vast natural area protected as a ZNIEFF & Natura 2000 zone (for its wealth of flora & fauna). Magnificent setting of nature and greenery. Enchanting setting & site. Superb unobstructed views. Very comfortable rooms nestled under the roofs in "cocoon" mode, combining refined "bourgeois" cachet with meticulous "ethnic" decor (somewhere between Indonesia & Egypt). Pleasant, carefully planted and flower-filled garden, with a lovely exposed terrace, complemented by an intimate grassed area adorned with an atypical round swimming pool & a terrace under an arbour, on a vast 3-hectare property, most of it natural.
