Christelle, a nature and hiking enthusiast, welcomes you to a charming 1990s-style house reminiscent of a traditional farmhouse (built in the 1990s), carefully restored and renovated, nestled on the edge of a narrow street in a peaceful residential neighborhood (just steps away from a community playground with plenty of play equipment for Kids), bordering the picturesque, old-world-charm commercial center of Montchanin, a historic “working-class” town (with a rich coal-mining past, traces of which still remain), nestled “on the banks” of the famous Canal du Centre, flanked by the Voie Verte (a navigable route also worth exploring on relaxing boat trips) as well as the RCEA (with direct access for easy exploration), offering numerous amenities (including a supermarket 2 km away) and recreational facilities (including an indoor pool). Just a stone’s throw from the gentle, rolling Creusot countryside (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), a soothing landscape blending agriculture and nature, between the bucolic Charolais hedgerows, rivers, vast wild forests, dotted with large lakes and ponds (equipped for Fishing, Swimming, and various water sports), including the nearby Étang Berthaud (offering natural Swimming and Fishing across 43 hectares), Lake Torcy, Montchanin Pond, and Montaubry Lake.
