Absolute peace & quiet in the heart of the superb Brionnais bocage! Comfortable "Accueil Vélo" label guest house set in a charming authentic traditional farmhouse dating from 1799, steeped in history & carefully restored - featuring a beautiful 3.5x6.5m - nestled in the heart of the countryside on a vast 1 ha natural property (set up in the spirit of a "micro-farm" with animals), 9 km from the characterful town of Charlieu (& its exceptional Romanesque Benedictine abbey / all amenities on site) & 12 km from the charming medieval & shopping town of Marcigny, "Site clunisien" notably known for its Monday morning market created in 1266. Splendid, unspoilt setting of nature & greenery, in the heart of a natural area classified & protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone", ideally situated on the route of the Romanesque church circuit & several marked "balades vertes" footpaths (very rich network of identical hiking trails to be explored in the area), 2 km from the banks of the Loire (Europe's last wild river), bordered by the greenway connected to EuroVélo6 and the "Canal tranquille" linking Roanne to Digoin, 6 km from a 30 km "Coup de Cœur" mountain bike trail, 13 km from a 55 km "Coup de Cœur" cycling loop (a similar 88 km itinerary accessible at 14 km), 25 km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Roannaises & 47 km from the vineyards of Beaujolais (& the Burgundy Wine Route). A prime location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, right in the heart of the magnificent Charolais-Brionnais region (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), cradle of the world-renowned AOC beef and sheep breeds, rich in sumptuous landscapes and an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of Sologne & Montagne Bourbonnaise and Pays Roannais, not far from Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais. Privileged location with access to several départements (crossroads of the Allier, Loire & Rhône): 28 km from Roanne, 25 km from La Clayette, 36 km from Paray-le-Monial, 38 km from Digoin (& its river marina linked to the Canal du Centre), 40 km from Charolles & 50 km from Beaujeu. The perfect refuge for a 100% restful & relaxing "breath of fresh air", curled up in a sublime landscaped setting, with poolside lounging as a bonus!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Belgian by birth & Brionnaise by adoption, Françoise opens the doors of her delightful traditional farmhouse dating from 1799, lovingly restored and steeped in history (a former winegrowers' house, once part of a winegrowing estate, now a sheepfold), nestled in a quiet, bucolic valley of meadows at the edge of a forest (with a path leading to the village). Total tranquility in the heart of the countryside, nestled on a hillside in a magnificent, unspoilt setting of nature and greenery, on one of the seven hills overlooking the Loire Valley that make up the charming, typical market town of Iguérande ("Site Clunisien" with its elegant, listed 12th-century Romanesque church). Vast property of 1ha, partly wooded, laid out in the spirit of a "micro farm" with animals (pasture with sheep, henhouse with ducks & hens for the pleasure of fresh eggs at breakfast!), trees & cared for, featuring a 3.5x 6.5m swimming pool ("pool-house" with summer kitchen) & south-facing terrace. Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside. Comfortable bedrooms. Warm country charm with contemporary accents, combined with meticulous heritage restoration (conservation of stone lintels & walls, beams, period fireplace mantel in one bedroom). Cosy & cozy atmosphere.
Comprising: 3 bedrooms with independent access. Wifi access. PAC heating. Communal living area on ground floor (wood-burning stove, table soccer & TV). 2 bedrooms on 1st floor, including 1 family room (double bed 160x200cm/ double bed 160x200cm + single bed 90x200cm) with private bathrooms (separate shower/WC). PMR-accessible ground-floor family room (duplex with 2 separate bedrooms) (bed 2 p. 140x200cm + 3 beds 1 p. 90x200cm upstairs) with private shower/WC. Garden + double terraces + swimming pool (3.5x 6.5m) + pool-house + bike room + private parking.9 km from all amenities.
