A stay in the heart of a former monastery, in a village listed as one of France's most beautiful villages. Located in the Pilat Regional Nature Park, the gîte can accommodate up to 14 people and is an ideal starting point for hiking trails.

Ideally located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, in the heart of a verdant valley within the Pilat Regional Nature Park, discover this gîte in a unique cultural setting: a Carthusian monastery founded in 1280. For 500 years, silence and solitude reigned in this place inhabited by monks. During the French Revolution, after the departure of the Carthusian monks, the local inhabitants transformed the site into a village. Thus was born the commune of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, now listed as one of France's most beautiful villages and a village of character in the Loire region. Housed in monastery buildings, the site has retained all its authenticity. This comfortable gîte offers peace and quiet for families and friends alike, with a small garden on the first floor. Soccer pitch and tennis court close to the gîte. 2 on-site restaurants and farm produce sales.

150 m² gîte set up in the former accommodation of the Carthusian brothers, on the 1st floor of the town hall. You'll love its large living room, fully-equipped kitchenette and 3 large bedrooms with private shower rooms (which can sleep up to 14 people, thanks to extra beds). Beds are distributed as follows: blueberry room, 1 double bed. yellow room, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds. green room, 2 single beds and 4 single beds on the mezzanine. Bed linen and towels are included. Communal parking lot 50 m from the gîte. The temporary access for unloading luggage is closed off by an electric bollard which is raised automatically. Please do not use it even if you find it open. Please contact the information desk. Only the staff are authorized to open the terminal. The Tourist Office and the Town Hall decline all responsibility in the event of any incident occurring while passing through the terminal.
