Ideally located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, in the heart of a verdant valley within the Pilat Regional Nature Park, discover this gîte in a unique cultural setting: a Carthusian monastery founded in 1280. For 500 years, silence and solitude reigned in this place inhabited by monks. During the French Revolution, after the departure of the Carthusian monks, the local inhabitants transformed the site into a village. Thus was born the commune of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, now listed as one of France's most beautiful villages and a village of character in the Loire region. Housed in monastery buildings, the site has retained all its authenticity. This comfortable gîte offers peace and quiet for families and friends alike, with a small garden on the first floor. Soccer pitch and tennis court close to the gîte. 2 on-site restaurants and farm produce sales.
150 m² gîte set up in the former accommodation of the Carthusian brothers, on the 1st floor of the town hall. You'll love its large living room, fully-equipped kitchenette and 3 large bedrooms with private shower rooms (which can sleep up to 14 people, thanks to extra beds). Beds are distributed as follows: blueberry room, 1 double bed. yellow room, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds. green room, 2 single beds and 4 single beds on the mezzanine. Bed linen and towels are included. Communal parking lot 50 m from the gîte. The temporary access for unloading luggage is closed off by an electric bollard which is raised automatically. Please do not use it even if you find it open. Please contact the information desk. Only the staff are authorized to open the terminal. The Tourist Office and the Town Hall decline all responsibility in the event of any incident occurring while passing through the terminal.

Séjour en famille
5/5Très bon séjour dans ce chaleureux appartement dans le magnifique cadre de la Chartreuse de Sainte Croix. Un logement accueillant et confortable, au calme, avec de nombreuses randonnées à pied aux alentours. Nous avons prévu d y revenir l année prochaine tellement nous y etions bien!Merci pour l accueil que nous avons reçu !

Week-end prolongé en famille
5/5Gite spacieux pour se réunir en famille se trouvant dans une magnifique Chartreuse. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille pour fêter l'anniversaire de l'un des nôtres. Nous recommandons et reviendrons. La région est superbe.

Bien équipé, calme, bon accueil : je recommande !
5/5Notre séjour s'est très bien déroulé.
L'accueil et le départ se sont faits en heures ouvrables du point d'information, ce qui est utile pour ouvrir temporairement l'accès pour décharger bagages et personnes à mobilité réduite.
Le gite, qui est au premier étage, est bien équipé, calme, lumineux.
L'accueil et la gestion des petits aléas étaient parfaits!
Payer le ménage a été pertinent car le gite est grand.A proximité, jolies randonnées même juste pour une heure ou deux.
Le village-chartreuse est joli par tous les points de vue!Je recommande!

Très beau gîte, dans une chartreuse de 800 ans !
5/5Bien conçu, assez vaste pour accueillir 12 personnes, bien équipé (chaque chambre dispose d'une salle de bain / toilettes; la cuisine dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires et d'excellente qualité), ce gîte est idéal pour découvrir en famille ou en groupe d'amis les secrets de la chartreuse de Sainte-Croix et la beauté de la campagne montagneuse du Jarez
