The Mas des Orchidées is in southern tip of the Ardèche, 10 min. from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc (Ardèche gorges, Caverne du Pont-d'Arc) and little town of Barjac. Unspoilt natural setting at heart of 10 hectare estate, home to several species of wild orchid. Gîte des Palmiers (2-4 people), backing onto owners' 'mas', offers high end facilities and very comfortable accommodation (top quality materials). Private swimming pool (UV filter, water jets, counter-current) accessed via lovely covered terrace (summer kitchen, cool water spray). Living room with fitted kitchen and lounge areas (double sofa bed, good quality), bedroom (queen-size bed, own shower room, WC). Bed linen & towels provided. On estate: children's games, mini-stadium for volley-ball, badminton, mini-tennis. Tree-topping 5 min. away.

5/5Absolutely wonderful! Complete peace, surrounded by woodland and wildlife, but close to Vallon and Barjac. Very well equipped, with all the details thought of. Charming, helpful but unobtrusive hosts. A delightful place to stay.

Excellent stay
5/5A very well-equipped gîte in peaceful surroundings with wonderful pool, terrace and barbecue. Perfect holiday place for a couple. The countercurrent system in the pool provides good swimming opportunities.
The owners are friendly and welcoming but remain discreet. They are there in case help is needed.
