A 5-minute walk from the village of Les Vans, Jocelyne and Jacques welcome you to their gîte on the first floor of their home. The gîte is bright and airy, with a covered terrace and private garden. It has its own independent entrance. It comprises a living room with sitting area and integrated kitchenette, a bedroom with a double bed (140cm), a bedroom with 2 single beds (90cm), and a bathroom with WC. Electric heating, baby equipment on request. You're surrounded by the beautiful villages of Naves and Banne, and only two kilometers from the Chassezac river for summer swimming. Take the time to stroll through the Bois de Païolive, an astonishing limestone forest, and visit Thines, a beautiful village nestled in the Cévennes valleys, or the many caves in the surrounding area (La Cocalière, Aven d'Orgnac... ). A visit to Grotte Chauvet 2 - Ardèche, a fabulous reconstruction of the Unesco World Heritage-listed Grotte Chauvet, and the Ardèche gorges are a must. Not far away, every Saturday, the largest market in Ardèche Méridionale is held, giving Les Vans an air of Provence. It's a great opportunity to sample delicious local produce and sun-drenched fruits.

Un séjour agréable
5/5Le gîte est propre, bien équipé, dans un endroit très calme et à cinq minutes à pied du centre ville. Accueil chaleureux des hôtes, recommandations de visites et des activités. Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine de vacances en Ardèche.

Relaxed gite near to town and countryside
4/5Nice two-bedroom gite, close to the owners, who were friendly and very helpful.
Good set up for a smallish gite, with everything you need. 5 mins walk from town but still feels quiet and rural in garden, looking up at forested hillside.Close to the lovely town of Les Vans and near to the rivers etc.
Great walking nearby, amazing swimming, good bouldering (casteljau limestone) and superb cycling (try Banne for coffee!).
