At the foot of an ancient volcano, Elsa and André are delighted to welcome you to Domaine du Clap, a 15th-century château that is constantly being improved.
This family home has been owned by the DELON family since 1812. It is located in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Natural Park. The bed and breakfast has been renovated using natural, environmentally-friendly materials.
The wood-fired boiler and thermal and photovoltaic solar panels ensure partial energy autonomy and low environmental impact.
New in 2025 ;2 electrically-assisted bicycles are available for hire, €20 a day.
Car-free stay possible; we pick you up in Privas at the bus stop (direct link between Valence TGV and Privas).
5 spacious rooms for 2 to 4 people, each with private bathroom and toilet. The Cocon room has independent access and a private 25 m2 terrace.
minimum stay 2 nights. (4 DAYS MINIMUM in HIGH SEASON)
Table d'hôtes only on reservation 24 hours in advance. Table d'hôte on certain evenings depending on the chef's mood and the number of guests (4 minimum). Dishes cooked by us come from our large pesticide-free garden and local livestock. (Le Bouchon qui chante is a very good restaurant just 5 minutes away). Breakfasts taken in the garden according to the season.
Table d'hôte: Aperitif and toast, starter, main course, local cheese, dessert and Ardéchois wine included.
Adult meal: 28 euros
Kids meal under 12: 14 euros
New!... a 90-square-meter room with a superb chestnut wood floor is available to organize dance, singing or other workshops, a grand piano can also accompany your workshops, and a shared kitchen is available for your workshops...

Room: Cocon
The Cocoon Room is located in a wing of the Château with private, independent access. Very bright with its bay window, it has a queen-size bed 160 x 200 cm, a TV and wifi. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a towel dryer. The private WC is separate from the shower room. This room also features an exclusive 25m2 terrace with garden furniture and 2 sun loungers for relaxing. A refrigerator, kettle and espresso machine are also available.

It was a great experience, very nice and helpful host, an apartment with all in it, and as a plus: a great terrace. The surroundings were beautiful, so no complaints!And...great food!

Stelvy Un séjour apaisant
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au domaine du Clap. Le propriétaire est toujours aux petits soins. Les chambres sont modernes, bien équipées et très spacieuses. Les dîners sont parfaits et variés, avec des produits locaux. Les petit-déjeuners sont copieux et à base de produits maisons. On peut ainsi découvrir ou redécouvrir les spécialités ardéchoises en faisant connaissance avec les autres hôtes. Le calme des lieux et la sympathie du propriétaire créent une ambiance conviviale propice à la bonne humeur du groupe de "vacanciers". On a plaisir à se retrouver le soir tous ensemble pour faire connaissance.

Les Grenoblois Séjour au Clap
Accueil très cordial d'André et ambiance très conviviale avec les autres hôtes. Repas copieux et de qualité faits maison avec des produits locaux. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Calme assuré.
André sait nous conter l'histoire de sa bâtisse familiale remarquable et du village de Pranles (belle rando à faire pour découvrir l'histoire du lieu).A visiter le musée du Vivarais protestant et le moulin de Mandy.
Un peu plus loin Ardelaine (musée vivant de la laine) à St Pierreville, sans oublier de déguster les glaces de Terre Adélice à Moulinon (St Sauveur de Montagut).- Cleanliness
