At the foot of an ancient volcano, Elsa and André are delighted to welcome you to Domaine du Clap, a 15th-century château that is constantly being improved.
This family home has been owned by the DELON family since 1812. It is located in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Natural Park. The bed and breakfast has been renovated using natural, environmentally-friendly materials.
The wood-fired boiler and thermal and photovoltaic solar panels ensure partial energy autonomy and low environmental impact.
New in 2025 ;2 electrically-assisted bicycles are available for hire, €20 a day.
Car-free stay possible; we pick you up in Privas at the bus stop (direct link between Valence TGV and Privas).
5 spacious rooms for 2 to 4 people, each with private bathroom and toilet. The Cocon room has independent access and a private 25 m2 terrace.
minimum stay 2 nights. (4 DAYS MINIMUM in HIGH SEASON)
Table d'hôtes only on reservation 24 hours in advance. Table d'hôte on certain evenings depending on the chef's mood and the number of guests (4 minimum). Dishes cooked by us come from our large pesticide-free garden and local livestock. (Le Bouchon qui chante is a very good restaurant just 5 minutes away). Breakfasts taken in the garden according to the season.
Table d'hôte: Aperitif and toast, starter, main course, local cheese, dessert and Ardéchois wine included.
Adult meal: 28 euros
Kids meal under 12: 14 euros
New!... a 90-square-meter room with a superb chestnut wood floor is available to organize dance, singing or other workshops, a grand piano can also accompany your workshops, and a shared kitchen is available for your workshops...

Room: Cocon
The Cocoon Room is located in a wing of the Château with private, independent access. Very bright with its bay window, it has a queen-size bed 160 x 200 cm, a TV and wifi. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a towel dryer. The private WC is separate from the shower room. This room also features an exclusive 25m2 terrace with garden furniture and 2 sun loungers for relaxing. A refrigerator, kettle and espresso machine are also available.

Verybiketrip Ascension au Clap
Nous avons passé 4 jours absolument merveilleux au Le Domaine du Clap et nous repartons avec une seule envie : revenir au plus vite !
Tout était réuni pour un séjour parfait. La localisation est idéale, en pleine nature, avec un calme exceptionnel qui permet de vraiment déconnecter et se ressourcer. Le domaine est magnifique, entretenu avec soin, et l’atmosphère qui s’en dégage est à la fois chaleureuse et apaisante.
Les chambres sont impeccables : confortables, décorées avec goût et très agréables après une journée de découverte de la région. Mention spéciale également pour les repas, qui ont été un véritable coup de cœur : généreux, savoureux, préparés avec attention et mettant en valeur de très bons produits. Chaque repas était un moment de convivialité et de plaisir.
Mais ce qui rend ce lieu vraiment unique, c’est l’accueil et la qualité du service. André, le propriétaire, est une personne d’une gentillesse rare, disponible, attentionnée et passionnée par son domaine. Le contact avec lui a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour aussi mémorable. On se sent accueillis comme des amis plus que comme de simples visiteurs.
Un immense merci à André pour ces quelques jours hors du temps. Nous recommandons le Domaine du Clap les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui recherchent authenticité, tranquillité, confort et humanité. Une véritable pépite !

MARILOU Un week-end au château
Très belle expérience dans ce château, chargé d’histoire datant du XVIe siècle.
Accueil, attentionné, chambre très propre et repas savoureux, mettant en valeur les produits locaux, notamment la châtaigne.
Le châtelet partage avec passion l’histoire familial.

Accueil très sympathique et chaleureusement dès votre arrivée. Le charme de la pierre d'époque avec ses glycines confèrent à ce lieu une atmosphère très agréable. Logement très propre et ces charmants hôtes vous offrent des petites attentions. Dîner et petit déjeuner : pains, gâteaux et confitures, le tout fait maison.

Très bonne halte. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. La mise à disposition d'une kichenette et d'une salle à manger ont été très appréciées.
Je pense qu'envisager de mettre un peu d'aliments salés ( oeufs, fromage, jambon..) au petit déjeuner le matin, serait un grand plus.- Cleanliness

Merci de votre proposition mais nous ne voulons ni augmenter nos tarifs ni présenter des produits bas de gammes; ici c est du bio ou du local tant pour le petit déjeuner que pour le repas du soir.
