There are 2 different trails to follow in the park, a long one and a short one (we recommend you do both !) through the park, from enclosures to observation posts. The trails are around 1.5km and take about between 1¾ - 2 hours to walk. Walking conditions are easy, mostly in the shade and suitable for children, pushchairs and wheelchairs. It is a truly magical place and the trails are dotted with hidey holes and discreet observation posts where you can safely observe the wolves ! A few little info boards along the way explain basic things you should know about the various animals in the park. Animals include European grey wolves, Arctic wolves, black and white Mackenzie wolves, deer, wild boar, badgers, foxes, hens, geese, goats and a Vietnamese pig. Carry on through the woods to see other wild animals : stags, deer, wild boar, foxes. Take your time, retrace your steps, wander around, you may come upon a pack of wolves... the opportunity to observe, understand and learn about this mysterious predator.
A warm friendly welcome awaits visitors to the Animal Park which is a few kilometres from Guéret in the Limousin region. Chat to the keepers, go on a guided tour, visit the museum, get close to the wolves. A lovely place to enjoy the great outdoors in peaceful surroundings, typical of Creuse ! There is a projection room, a souvenir shop and a place selling drinks within the park, while just outside you will find a free car park and picnic area. Definitely not one to miss !
