The gîte offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Durance valley and surrounding mountains (Grand Morgon, Aiguilles de Chabrières, Tete de Clotinaille...).Located in a communal building housing 3 self-catering cottages and a year-round apartment, "Le Roc" has a raised ground-floor entrance, a living room with kitchenette and TV, a 2-person sofa bed, toilet, washing machine, bedroom (1 double bed), upstairs 2 bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds), shower room with toilet, electric heating. If you're keen on heritage, you can visit the Transfiguration church, a listed historic monument overlooking the Durance valley. Restored frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries adorn the building; Ste Marie Madeleine church (16th century) in the main town of Les Orres, with its Lombard bell tower; Notre Dame de la Présentation church in Le Mélezet, built in the 19th century on the site of a former chapel built in 1546, its south-facing façade features a sundial dating from 1853, signed by the famous Italian sundial-maker Zarbula.
