Not far away, in the dolomitic setting of the Aiguilles de Chabrières, clinging to the side of Mont Guillaume, the Cabane des Bergers (shepherds' hut) reminds us that pastoral activity was once intense in the commune. This former farmhouse has been converted into three accommodation units (two gîtes and the owner's vacation home). The entrance to the gîte is independent via a landscaped outdoor area, the living room opens onto a balcony, the sitting room has a TV and DVD player, and a fully-equipped kitchenette (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer). Just above the village is a delightfully bucolic spot: l'Écluse. Here, there are no barges, but a discreet picnic area next to a small pond surrounded by century-old willows. And if your ear is drawn to a melody along the way, don't be surprised: the Puy-Sanières Music School and Choir have long since achieved a reputation that extends beyond the boundaries of the commune!
