La Rama

On the edge of the Écrins National Park, in the heart of a pure natural environment, it is in a traditional alpine chalet nestled at an altitude of 1800m, in a small hamlet of mountain pastures surrounded by gabled roofs , and facing La Meije and its glaciers, which Marie, the owner, will have the pleasure of welcoming you. Natural and noble materials were used for the renovation of this chalet, in the mountain tradition, with an ecological concern (photovoltaic panels allowing the electricity supply) and a deep respect for the heritage bequeathed by our elders. The “La Rama” accommodation consists of two levels. On the ground floor: Entrance hall that can be used as equipment room and fitted kitchen with dining area. Upstairs: shower room/WC as well as a large sleeping area with double bed and furnished relaxation area giving access to a small terrace where chamois and deer are easily observed. The entrance and the terrace overlook a private courtyard, to take advantage of the light while being in a preserved cocoon. Private parking in front of the cottage. Unique heating via wood stove in the kitchen. An ideal base camp for a stay under the sign of healing and outdoor activities, La Rama is a privileged haven of peace for a return to basics facing the glaciers of La Meije. Come and enjoy the absolute calm on the terrace for a breakfast on familiar terms with the summits or a dinner that extends to dive into the stars. In the courtyard, relax after a day of outdoor adventures and prepare the best hiking route around a steaming cup and a map. A 30-minute walk from the hamlet of Les Hières, La Rama will be your refuge for your stay in La Grave, with many hiking departures from the chalet. Access is via 1.5 km of unpaved track (beware of low chassis) where the crossing can be tricky.
