La Rama

On the edge of the Ecrins National Park, in the heart of a pristine natural environment, Marie, the owner, is delighted to welcome you to a traditional alpine chalet nestled at an altitude of 1800m, in a small hamlet surrounded by gabled roofs and facing La Meije and its glaciers. Natural, noble materials were used in the renovation of this chalet, in keeping with mountain tradition, with a concern for the environment (photovoltaic panels for electricity supply) and a deep respect for the heritage bequeathed by our elders. La Rama" accommodation comprises two levels. First floor: an entrance hall that can be used as an equipment room, and a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. Upstairs: shower room/WC and a large sleeping area with double bed and furnished sitting area leading to a small terrace where chamois and roe deer can easily be observed. The entrance and terrace open onto a private courtyard, so you can enjoy the light while remaining in an unspoilt cocoon. Private parking in front of the gîte. La Rama is the ideal base camp for a stay dedicated to rejuvenation and outdoor activities, and a haven of peace where you can get back to basics in front of the glaciers of La Meije. Come and enjoy the absolute calm of the terrace for a breakfast with a view of the peaks, or a dinner that goes on and on, plunging into the stars. In the courtyard, relax after a day of outdoor adventure and plan the best hiking itinerary over a steaming mug and map. A 30-minute walk from the hamlet of Les Hières, La Rama will be your refuge for your stay in La Grave, with numerous hiking trails starting from the chalet. Access is via 1.5 km of unpaved track (beware of low chassis), where crossing can be tricky.
