In the charming village of Barcillonnette, between Gap and the Buëch Valley, this characterful duplex studio welcomes you for a peaceful stay in the heart of the authentic landscapes of the Hautes-Alpes. Housed in a former 19th-century barn that has been completely renovated using natural materials, it offers a warm and soothing atmosphere.
Designed to accommodate up to three people, the studio features a bright living area with a fully equipped open kitchen (microwave not included), a mezzanine with a 160-cm double bed (convertible into two single beds), and a 90-cm single bed. A bathroom with a toilet completes the layout. The apartment does not have a television, but a computer is available upon request for browsing the internet or watching movies. Wood heating. Pets are allowed upon request. Access to the owner’s washing machine is available upon request.
Adjacent to the owners’ home, the studio is a place for connection and discovery. The owner is a certified hypnotherapist and can host you for a session in a room adjoining the studio. The staircase is not suitable for young kids or people with mobility issues.
There are many activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. From the holiday cottage, set out to explore the hiking trails that wind through the surrounding hills and mountain ranges, including the Dévoluy, the Céüse Mountain, and the Buëch Valley. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the rock-climbing spots, mountain bike trails, bike rides, and swimming in nearby rivers and lakes. In winter, the nearest family-friendly resorts are accessible for snowshoeing or skiing. The region also offers plenty of wonderful cultural discoveries, such as the medieval village of Serres, the Gap Museum, and local farmers’ markets.
It’s the perfect place to recharge and enjoy the beauty of the Southern Alps.
