La Bergerie

Nestled at an altitude of 1,200 meters in the charming village of Champcella, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, the Holiday cottage La Bergerie welcomes hikers, bikers and nature lovers in a fully renovated 17th-century farmhouse. On the edge of the Parc national des Écrins and a stone's throw from the Parc régional du Queyras, the establishment enjoys an exceptional setting, between mountains, rivers, cliffs and mountain pastures.
La Bergerie can accommodate up to 13 people in a warm atmosphere, combining stone and old wood with all modern comforts. The Holiday cottage has three levels. On the first floor, you'll find a living room with bar, sitting area, TV and library, ideal for relaxing after a day's activity. Upstairs, the large living area features a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, a convivial dining room, a fireplace area, and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC. The top floor houses five single bedrooms, two shower rooms and a WC.
The welcome is simple and attentive. Bed linen, towels and hygiene products are provided, and housekeeping is included. Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the Holiday cottage. Cyclists will appreciate the secure bicycle room with repair shop, shoe dryer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
La Bergerie offers generous, local, home-cooked meals: copious breakfasts, picnic baskets on request, and evening meals shared at the big table. The friendly atmosphere is ideal for small groups of adults or itinerant travelers. The Holiday cottage is for adults only, to ensure peace and quiet for all.
There's plenty to do in the vicinity: Hiking on the GR trails or the high-altitude balconies, climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking, road biking on the legendary cols, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. The Holiday cottage is open from May to October. A free shuttle service is available from the nearest train station.
