Facing the Ecrins massif and close to the Parpaillon massif, Saint André d'Embrun is a commune in the Hautes Alpes overlooking the Serre Ponçon lake and the Durance valley. Numerous hiking trails criss-cross the commune and the surrounding mountain pastures. To the north, on a grassy plateau overlooking the Durance, lies Lac de Siguret, surrounded by meadows, wheat fields and undergrowth, where you can relax and enjoy family fishing all day long, with the surrounding peaks as your only witness. This natural area of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest, of glacial origin and situated at 1058m altitude, will delight walkers and photographers alike. Here you'll find a small, typical mountain chapel enthroned among the expanses of wheat and a few vines of lavender that were once cultivated. The gîte is located in an old converted farmhouse with two accommodation units. It comprises a living room, sitting area with TV, kitchenette with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven and freezer. Shower room, wc. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms (3 single beds, 1 double bed), one with private shower-room/wc. Cot available. Underfloor heating and electric heating not included, cleaning package available, shared games room. Spa open in summer, by reservation, €5 per person. A large courtyard (with garden furniture and barbecue) will allow you to relax in this haven of peace located in an enchanting setting that offers both the pleasures of the mountains and the water.
