An environmentally-friendly gîte set in a peaceful valley between the Drôme Provençale and the high mountains.

Set in the heart of a small valley in the peaceful Haut-Buëch region, between the Baronnies Provençales and the mountain massifs, this gîte is located in an unspoilt natural environment, adjoining the owners' home and offering great independence. Built with respect for nature, it uses renewable energies for hot water and heating, and ecological materials for its construction. The grounds have been pleasantly landscaped with a south-facing terrace, shaded in summer, and a large plot of land with garden furniture and barbecue. The spacious living room features a relaxation area with TV, DVD player and wood-burning stove, a dining area and an integrated open-plan kitchen. The shower room and separate toilet are on the first floor. Washing machine. Two upstairs bedrooms with 4 single beds. The owner rents sheets and towels, and provides cots, high chairs and small equipment on request. A wood-burning pellet stove provides heating, and pellets are supplied as part of normal consumption. The owner, a beekeeper, will be happy to show you his products. He can also organize photo or beekeeping courses on site. This gîte can also be rented in conjunction with another property accommodation (gîte N°1176, also listed in the Gîtes de France network), in which case a large living room with fully-equipped kitchen can be made available between the two accommodations. Located on the edge of the forest, close to a small river and wide-open spaces, you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities on site or nearby: hiking, mountain biking, cycling, discovering the Durbon forest and the Beauchêne sites. Accompanied walks with donkeys are also available.
